This book can be related to today's society in many ways. If you don't know what is going on, read and learn. I am a young woman (17), and it tought me that I should always look for the truth. I can trully see our government manufacturing babies in the future. This book is real.

The book brings out the best quality of being human

David Keller I believe that "Brave New World" should be read by all people who feel that life is nothing more than play. To me, the author brings out a whole new perspective in life. Many people take the ability to think and reason for granite. If the right to think was one day taken from them, they would feel sorrow and pity for never using it. I asked a lot of my friends if they would rather lay around and drink soma while having erotic sex or if they would rather read literature and have a piece of mind to themselves. More than half of the people would rather drink soma. What has happened to the world? Have we invented to many easy ways to slack off. Have we made the brain a non-functioning machine? Maybe it is not the kids fault. Maybe it is the adults that have pushed so hard for progression that it is pulling a reversal and regressing the next generation. Huxley writes very clearly and makes known what he means. He is a very good writer and should continue an episode of "Brave New World". Huxley was not that far off in predicting what the future will be like seeing that he was 50 years in the past. It took a lot of time to animate such a utopia into a living and breathing thing. I give him much props and hope that he keeps up the good work

One of the finest books ever

A must read for anyone. Huxley brings us a world of advanced genetic engineering and a pre-determined class structure which is not at all out of our grasp. Although this book was mutilated by MSnbc's happy-go-lucky feel good miniseries, it really must be read. Pick 1984 up while you're at it...nice compliment.
Warning: may cause awareness and thoughts to propogate through the brain. Also, may make you want to turn off your TV.

If each book in the Bloom's Notes series is as interestingand useful as this volume (on William Shakespeare's Hamlet)Bloom's Notes should be as well known and as frequently used as the popular Cliff's Notes series. As I see it, Bloom's notes has two advantages over Cliff's Notes. The first is that this new series with it's glossy black, gold and white cover is so much more elegant looking than CLiff's crass yellow and black. This is one instance where if you do judge a book by its cover, your judgement will be correct. Bloom's Notes looks and is smart. Smartest of all is that Harold Bloom, the highly esteemed author has written the introduction to each volume. No student can read his essays without catching a bit of the fever for reading that the critic has so frequently written about.

I am just going to pull up with some of my own personal opinions. I have been reading this book since my old buddy left it in my room. I enjoyed reading this book, but I lacked in understanding of some theme that this book trying to express.

It is an interesting story. A priest from a small town in South Africa traveling to help his sister who had commit some sort of crime. Once he solved all problems that his sister created, he begins to look for his son who didn't return to home for a long time. These stories combine to create a touching theme that would be a great and enjoyable to readers.

In Cry, the Beloved Country, Alan Paton portrays the theme of selfishness and the act of kindness can create emotional connection between other people and Kumalo's interaction. Stephen Kumalo is a really nice person toward everyone whom he met during his journey. Kumalo is a really kind person who willing to provide anyone comfort that he could possibly can give. Paton's describe Kumalo's kindness as "Although his money was little, he bought her a red dress and a white thing that they called a turban for her head." This proved that Kumalo is willing to sacrifice his own happiness in order to make other happier.

As the result of his kindness, many people understand Kumalo situation and give him their hands and treat him kindly. Kumalo knew that he needs a lawyer for his son, which, Kumalo wouldn't be able to afford to pay that much money to lawyer. However, Father Vincent told him that there will be a lawyer who willing to help Kumalo in incredibly cheap price or even for free. Kindness that he had done in the pass had the return to him. His act of gentle and kindness man were allowed him to connect with many people.

In conclusion, Cry, the Beloved Country emphasizes through of kindness that Paton's trying to express toward readers. Paton's explain that kindness can bring people together and help each other in critical situation.

In Spies, readers meet the "stars" (Allan Pinkerton, Belle Boyd, Elizabeth Van Lew), as well as some lesser-known operatives. Children will particularly enjoy the chapter on codes. On the whole, these three volumes will be popular with those who have a new interest in the Civil War, and will be stepping stones to more advanced research. conpre este libro en ingles y me gusto tanto que lo conpre en espanol para regalarselo a mi pareja, y nos ah ayudado tanto. todos tenemos amigos, familiares, conosidos, que tienen problemas en el matrimonio, y no nos damos cuenta quien esta equivocado hasta que consultas con un experto, oh lees este libro. ahota puedes dar buenos, y inteligentes consejos si te piden tu opinion sobre el matrimonio.
