Mexico fue la tierra que la vio nacer, crecer y desarrollar-se como mujer. Maria del Sol es sinonimo de una mujer completa. Ha demostrado ser de las mejores vocalistas que ha dado Mexico asi como tambien una excelente actriz. Maria del Sol, posee una extensa trayectoria artistica que incluyen nueve discos grabados, nueve participaciones en el Festival OTI en los cuales obtuvo varios reconocimientos, revelacion del ano (1979), se-gundo lugar (1986), primer lugar y mejor interprete (1988), tercer lugar y mejor interprete (1997). Tambien participo en el Festival Yamaha de Japon (1981) donde tambien obtuvo el premio como mejor interprete. Su incursion en la television incluye algunas telenovelas, actuaciones especiales y espectaculos. Maria del Sol fue la voz oficial de la Olimpiada Juvenil en Mexico(1996), don-de motivo a los jovenes a practicar el deporte y a competir sana y limpiamente por obtener el triunfo que los pudiera llevar a representar a Mexico en un futuro. Ademas, como parte de su trayectoria y uno de los eventos de mayor trascendencia en la misma, Maria del Sol participo de la Pelicula de Disney "Hercules," donde hacia el doblaje de voz e interpretaba las canciones de la musa Thalia. La vida de Maria del Sol cambio desde el 21 de enero de 1996, dia que Jesucristo arropo su corazon. Maria del Sol recibio a Je-sus en su vida por el testimo-nio real de su amiga y tambien artista mexicana, Yuri. Desde entonces, confiesa "haber conocido el verdadero amor." En el ambiente de la musica cristiana Maria del Sol ha participado en proyectos junto a los conocidos hermanos de Torre Fuerte. Llego el amor es el titulo de su primera produccion cristia-na que se lanza bajo el sello de Vida Music y que es producido por el conocido musico mexicano, Alvaro Lopez. Maria del Sol reside en Mexico D. F. y asiste a la Congregacion Semilla de Mostaza.
