Great little book on Hux

This is the only Bloom commentary I've read, but I've learned a lot from it. Years ago I'd read most of Hux's novels, and a few years ago all of his collected essays, and his collection of essays on Religion, but nothing of his poetry. So this is a wonderful help to my knowledge of Hux.

Compre el libro porque me llamo la atencion el titulo, y cuando lo vi lleno de letras pense que tal vez estaria muy aburrido leerlo, pero me sorprendio mucho cuando lo comence a leer y a ver de que se trataba y me iba picando mas, no queria dejarlo de leer! Excelentes consejos, el autor te hace sentir que puedes confiar en sus consejos al 100%, tiene mucha experencia y sabe de lo que esta hablando.
Me encanta que tiene muchos casos de padres con problemas con sus hijos y es muy facil poder identificarte con alguno de ellos. Te presenta las dificultades y consejos en diferentes etapas, desde el nacimiento hasta la adolescencia... esto esta excelente porque cuando vas leyendo te das cuenta de que muchos problemas en la adolescencia se pueden evitar actuando desde la ninez..

Soy una madre joven, latina, con un bebe de 4 meses. Es logico tener muchas dudas sobre la crianza, especialmente en estos tiempos dificiles, viviendo en sociedades sin valores y respeto. El libro te da los lineamientos sobre la crianza tradicional, para formar ninos y jovenes respetuosos, obedientes y con valores. El libro te ensena a ser un lider para tu hijo, y al fin de cuentas ese es precisamente lo que somos: Sus Lideres, sus guias en este mundo para ayudarles a ser grandes hombres y mujeres. Lo recomiendo al 100% !!!

I'm the type who could go on for hours about Holden and Pheobe and Ally's mitt and the girl who plays checkers and keeps the kings in the back. Everybody will obviously find their own meanings and understandings to these side reveries Holden takes us through. I just couldn't pass the opportunity to comment on the reviewers who said that Holden rambled and bored them in some ways. I wonder if these were the kids who had to read the book as assigned reading in a class they took in high school or college. I reccommend they go back.. cause I always go back to The Catcher and discover a new dawning of what Holden is trying to communicate to me. Try reading it again, it's not that big of a book you know. And maybe this time you'll see it's not really boring useless ramblings. It's a great deal more. That's the greatest part of this book.

Rambling .. So?

To the person who said Holden "talked too much" duder .. that was the point! I'm a female in love with that book and it's like, sometimes all you do is sit some where and ramble on and on about nothing of any importance. I think THAT was what made Holden so real. He over-analyzed quite a bit, which I think a lot of self concious teens do. I don't think this book so much describes all adolescents, just like Siddhartha doesn't speak the view of every Middle Easterner. You can't write a book and say "This here story is one that every (-fill-in-space-) can identify with." I personally DO agree with a lot of things he has to say but some of my friends think he is full of s***. Anyway ... thats my review :P

This is one book which is close to reality, a book which relates to you ,as if i would have written this book if i ever had the guts to run away , to stay alone depressed and all . its hard to forget what your past was all the kids you meet may be good may be bad may be some you hated but its like you remember certain moments of certain days not that somthing special happened that day may be nothing happened but still you can picture it . Holden's character is one to which all the youths can identify with . I did not get the meaning of the title till Holden tells Phobey about what he wants to be , "THE CATCHER IN THE RYE".I probably want to be ,i don't know what but somebody different somebody good , a person who has certain amount of "HUMAN TOUCH". It is just that i seem to lose my way like holden. Holden was a dreamer , a child depressed by the circumstances . Its the best book i ever read or probably will ever read , definately no.1 book of all times.

During his life between 1480-1521, he goes through many tasks, his age doesn't matter to him when he decides to circumnavigate the world. Who named the Pacific Ocean? He did! Pacific means calm. Did you know that? I bet you did not! You can find out more about his extroardinary life and achievements in this book. This book is great for bibliography writing, historical figure speeches, or just for plain fun and your acknowledgement.

Practico, simple, y efectivo !!!

Sigo a Dr Caroline Leaf en Ingles, he visto todos sus videos y leído este libro en Ingles. Los métodos para desentoxicar la mente de pensamientos, sentimientos nocivos es EXTRAORDINARIO. Trabaja con la naturaleza del funcionamiento del cerebro. Cabe a cada uno ser constante y hacer el trabajo que propone, el cual es bien simple, pero debe ser continuo. Uno de los pasos es escribir todos los días de una forma específica para poder reconocer cuales son los patrones mentales que tenemos. Al hacerlo podemos ver las relaciones que estamos haciendo y luego aplicar una solución.
Dr. Caroline Leaf es una profesional admirable porque traduce el complicado lenguaje y los difíciles procesos de la mente en simples palabras y pasos.
Este es un libro que TODOS debemos tener siempre cerca... para recordarnos que nuestra vida depende de como pensamos.

Excellent and Practical exposition

All the books of Dr. Caroline Leaf are excellente reading. They are very practical and it is what we need at this point in time. Is there anything more important than personal liberation. Dr. Leaf explains how to do it in her book Who disconected my brain. Very simple reading and practical in application. Dont miss it.
